Algonquin Provincial Park




Algonquin Provincial park is located in Ontario, Canada. It is about 3 hours North of the city of Toronto. Algonquin Park is the oldest provincial park in Canada. The park contains over 2,400 lakes and 1,200 km of rivers.

Algonquin Park is really an amazing place and attracts one million visitors each year. There are many activities to try in Algonquin:

  • Biking, boating
  • Canoeing, camping
  • Dog sledding
  • Fishing
  • Hiking trails, hunting and trapping
  • Interpretive walking trails
  • Picnicking
  • Skiing, snowmobiling, swimming
  • Wildlife watching

All sorts of wildlife can be found in Algonquin Park, there are over 40 mammals, 30 reptiles and amphibians, and 130 species of birds. Even to see the variety of trees and plants in Algonquin Provincial Park is reason enough to visit.
